OUR BELIEFS
THE GOSPEL
The gospel is the bad news that, because of sin, our relationship with God is estranged. The gospel is more importantly the good news that through Christ God has provided the means for man to be reconciled to God. When we believe in Christ and rely on his perfect obedience, his sacrifice on the cross, and the power that resurrected him from the dead, his righteousness is imputed to us, his blood cleanses and forgives, and his resurrection ensures that we will live with God forever.
OUR STORY
In August 2006 a small group of five people began praying about a new a church in downtown Los Angeles with the vision of renewing the city spiritually, socially, and culturally. This prayer group formed a Bible Study in September studying the essential doctrines of the Christian faith using the Apostle’s Creed as the outline. On September 16, 2007 we officially launched Sovereign Grace Church with the blessing of our family, friends, and other churches.
